I have been working in the field of dementia as a community musician for over 10 years and I also know first hand of the journey as my dear Mum has Alzheimers. Combining my two vocations was a natural progression and I am delighted to offer my circle holding and facilitation.
I create a safe space to relax into the comforting and familiar world of story and prose while tapping into the alchemy of music. I tailor my circles around the seasons with an interactive element… my aim is to empower and create a community within our time together for both the person with dementia and the carer.
The circle will last for 45 minutes and I suggest we conclude with a cuppa and chat.
What others Say……..
We can’t thank you enough for your amazing performance yesterday to celebrate Dementia Action Week. It was such a privilege to witness such a happy, thoughtful, fun and kind event. The verbal feedback was amazing.

You opened up another world to me.

I think your storytelling mixed with song was a great idea (and better for stilling the mind than meditation.)
Carer
Altogether a delightful morning. The readings, story and songs were thought provoking. It was lovely to see others respond to the folk tunes. John obviously enjoyed it because he had the story regards the Nightingales in Berkeley Square!
