‘She stepped out of the gilded cage, ruffled her mottled grey feathers, picked up her harp, and sang her own songs.’
Gossamer thread tales is a collection of songs gathered and spun from real life experiences of connection to each other and nature.
From the robin’s fanfare to the meadow mind of a mother, Sharon Elizabeth distils her experiences, a kind of autobiographical aural journal as she re-wilds and sheds the persona of a cabaret songbird.

Thank you so much for a delightful performance. Everyone enjoyed your singing and to listen to you playing the harp was a delight. I was amazed by the way you were able to write such lovely words to so many situations. To have a song written around sourdough was just magic!

Really enjoyed your tales. Oxford Storytelling Festival ’23

I was incredibly touched by all of it. Your voice is astounding. It seems to wake a hibernatory part of me up. Just so beautiful. You are a lark.
