Once Upon a Time

Children’s Interactive Storytelling

A fantastic collaboration at Printers Playhouse where we wrote, devised and performed nine bespoke children’s shows. It was wonderful to bring our stories alive and bring in a little harp to enhance the magical experience.

We had such a lovely time. Watching Margot’s face beam with happiness and joy, alive in a world of outer space make-believe. Such fun. You’ve co-created a wonderful creative and connected experience for children, gifting them the opportunity to lose themselves in wonder. We skipped (OK she skipped, I smiled) as we made our way back to the car, creating our own stories. Thank you so very much x

Harpy the Clown

A real honour to open a Zoom ‘Global Christmas Harp Party’ with my clown creation ‘Harpy.’ Thank you so much @talkingharps and @annadunwoodie for inviting and giving me this opportunity, I had sooo much fun creating this for you and it was such a delightful event to be part of xxx

It was fab – what a brilliant way to start our global party. Perfect xxxx

Outdoor Busking Performance

For Much Ado Books I played the gig street theatre style in their courtyard coming in and out of focus. Harp and song interludes then pulling focus for poems and stories.

Were you lucky enough to be in our yard yesterday, when storyteller and harpist Sharon Elizabeth from @thegossamerthreadproject was entertaining passersby? Thanks for making the afternoon so wonderful, Sharon!

Workshop Collaboration

A wonderful and nourishing collaboration with Caroline Whiteman – grower, forager and fermenter. I shared some of my Breadtime Stories and taught the participants to make a spring inspired focaccia bread.

It’s been absolutely amazing, it’s kind of blown me away. It’s not something that I’ll come across anywhere. I would do it all again even if it was all the same. JW, participant

There was an air of mystery to this day. The entertainment, the education and the interactive fermentation, baking side to me was perfect . You two ladies have an energy about you that is absolutely beautiful.

Dream Haven

Dream Haven was a family storytelling concert created by newly formed ‘Chalky Tales’ which I am a founding member of.

Kate Isitt – Narrator
Kate Comberti – Violin
Nancy Cooley – Piano
Sharon Lewis – Voice and harp

Inspired by a children’s wonder tale written by Imogen Lycett Green we collaborated as a team to lift the story of the page and weave newly composed and improvised music with classical favourites and poetry.

I really enjoyed it, original with a good message. Audience member

It was such an inventive show with a fascinating storyline, beautiful music and lovely performances. It held their attention young and old. Audience member.
